Summary
This methodological guide supports teachers and school leaders in Ecuador’s technical upper secondary education system in implementing prevention strategies for adolescent pregnancy. Developed under VVOB’s Educación y Formación Técnica y Profesional (EFTP), it promotes comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) and gender equality as essential components of inclusive, equitable, and quality technical education.
The publication provides a step-by-step methodology for designing awareness-raising workshops, integrating CSE principles into the curriculum, and fostering dialogue between students, families, and teachers. It includes participatory activities, practical case studies, and guidelines for institutional action planning. The guide contributes to creating safe, supportive learning environments where students—especially girls—can complete their education and pursue sustainable livelihoods free from discrimination or early school leaving.
