VVOB – education for development is an international non-profit organisation with over 40 years’ experience in strengthening the quality of education systems in Africa, Asia and South America in close partnership with ministries of education and their institutions.

Our vision: Quality education is the foundation for development. VVOB contributes to an equitable world in which governments are capacitated to respect, protect and fulfil the right to quality education for every learner, without any form of discrimination.

Years of experience. VVOB has been committed to advancing quality education for all since 1982 through investment in partnerships and local expertise.

Countries. In 2024, we worked across four continents and 11 countries including Belgium, Cambodia, Ecuador, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam and Zambia.
