Our Partners in Ecuador

VVOB strengthens education through partnerships. We work within existing education systems, led by the Ministry of Education and its institutions. Depending on the country, we also collaborate with universities, teacher education institutions, civil society organisations, and more.

Our Approach to Partnerships

In Ecuador, VVOB works hand in hand with the Ministry of Education and national institutions. VVOB does not build parallel systems — it strengthens what already exists. Together with the Ministry, VVOB designs professional development within existing structures such as the MeCapacito online platform, ensuring lasting support for teachers and school leaders. With universities and other partners, we co-create tools and courses that make quality training accessible across the country. Our approach is grounded in mutual learning, evidence that works in practice and reforms that endure beyond any single project.

Government Partners

The Ministry of Education (Mineduc) is VVOB’s closest partner in Ecuador. As the national authority on education, Mineduc ensures that reforms are sustainable and reach every learner.

We also collaborate with universities such as Universidad del Pacífico, Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Universidad de Cuenca, and Universidad de las Américas, as well as other technical training institutes, to prepare teachers and school leaders for today’s challenges. Through these partnerships, courses, online learning and practical tools are developed and shared widely, so that professional development is accessible to all.

Collaborating Partners

VVOB works with key institutions that connect education to national development. Together with civil society organisations, we draw on local knowledge, research, and innovation to ensure education reforms are inclusive and impactful.

With Grupo FARO, we are working on Research to Transform, a series of conferences on investigation and education, turning evidence into action. Alongside Esquel and Grupo FARO, we are engaging in discussions to scale successful educational solutions. And with FIDAL, we joined the CREA Fair, standing alongside other civil society organisations to inspire change and reimagine education for the future.

Networks and Memberships

Through VVOB’s global networks, Ecuadorian institutions exchange expertise internationally and bring local innovations to wider debates from climate-smart agriculture teaching to project-based learning. This mutual learning strengthens Ecuador’s reforms and contributes to VVOB’s global Learning Unlimited Strategy 2030

Partner with Us

VVOB’s work in Ecuador is only possible thanks to these strong partnerships. By working within national systems and building long-term relationships, we help good practice stick from a single classroom to national policy.

If you are a university, civil society organisation, or sector partner who shares our vision for education that prepares young people for the future, we invite you to collaborate with us. Together, we can equip learners in Ecuador with the skills and opportunities they need for a sustainable tomorrow.
