The EAC recognises education as a critical driver of socio-economic transformation, regional integration, and sustainable development. Partner States have made strong commitments to develop and strengthen their education systems through various national and regional efforts.
This Conference aims to bring together key stakeholders, actors, and partners in the education sector to exchange experiences and develop strategies for addressing challenges facing the region’s education sector.
By strengthening alignment, mobilising partnerships, reinforcing accountability, and prioritising measurable outcomes, the conference will lay the foundation for transforming education systems across the East African Community to ensure that regional commitments translate into concrete actions and real impact for learners and communities at partner states level, and align to continental and global commitments.
VVOB will present four contributions at the conference, including two co-presentations with partners AKF and UNITE (on Green LEAP/Skilling for Sustainable Futures ), one co-presentation with Uganda's Ministry of Education, and a solo qualitative study from Kenya on school leadership and teacher efficacy.
